Notes
English: The altar depicts the legend of St. Hedwig of Silesia, mother of Henry II of Silesia, who died in the battle of Legnica. Siege of Legnica. The Tartars display the head of Henry II. of Silesia on a long lance, in an attempt to weaken the morale of the defenders. The Europen style of the Tartar armor may be due to an intended association with the Hussits, who at the time of the creation of the altar ravaged central Europe.
